Experience the thrill of a working artist’s studio and create your own unique piece of art to take home at the end of the day. Your host, Tracy Wolf-Paquin, is owner and director of Village Glass Studios, and her work can be seen in public spaces where she builds glass murals as a resident artist in Portland Public Schools. Alongside Tracy, you will have the opportunity to design glass art and move molten glass (think pulling taffy) into a long strand. If you need inspiration, bask in the open, warm feeling of the space and reflect on the quintessential Portland neighborhood around you. The modern-style home & studio is in the middle of quaint and charming Multnomah Village. The industrial layout and simple clean materials are sure to bring out your creativity. You can choose the studio catering or your own to offer a variety of appetizers, wine, beer, and other beverages, in addition to a dessert tray to reward yourself for a job well done! If you’d rather just observe, grab a drink and wander around the side patio, where landscaped rock meets flowering trees and grass pods. Vegetarian or vegan option available with prior notice. Parking is available next door at West Hills Learning Center (weekends) and at the studio driveway as well as across the street. Please note: closed toed shoes must be worn if planning to pull glass.
